Cartavio Rum comes from the city of Cartavio located in the Chicama Valley, established in 1929. Apart from having the best location in the world for sugarcane cultivation due to its arid climate and pure nutrient rich water source coming from the Andes Mountains. The sugarcane is piped directly into continuous fermentation molasses pits and utilizing a proprietary yeast blend. Utilizing continuous distillation and pot still distillation. Cartavio rums undergo boutique aging processes using a unique combination of the finest white oak barrels from France, Spain, Scotland, Slovenia and the United States.
